What to Expect at Whittington Veterinary Clinic

Dr Paul A Comfortable, Caring Experience from the Moment You Arrive

We know that a visit to the vet can be stressful—not just for your pet, but for you, too. That’s why we do everything we can to make your experience at Whittington Veterinary Clinic as smooth, safe, and stress-free as possible.

When You Arrive

  • Need help unloading? Just give us a call when you arrive, and a team member will be happy to assist you.
  • Got a nervous pup? If your dog is fearful or reactive, let us know ahead of time—we’ll make sure the lobby is clear and bring you straight into a private exam room to help ease anxiety.
  • We’ve got you covered! Our front entry area is stocked with paper towels, leashes, waste bags, and disinfectant wipes for your convenience.
  • Bringing a cat? If you don’t have a carrier or need help getting your feline friend safely inside, just give us a call—we’ll bring a carrier out to your vehicle and even send it home with you to help keep your cat safe and secure during future visits.
  • Need a quick potty break? We have a fenced grassy area just off the front door where your dog can stretch their legs or take a bathroom break before or after their visit.

During Your Visit

what to expectOur team will take the time to:

  • Greet you and your pet with warmth and care
  • Review your pet’s history and any concerns
  • Perform a thorough exam
  • Answer your questions and explain any recommendations clearly
  • Provide treatment options tailored to your pet’s needs and your comfort

With 8 private exam rooms, we strive to move clients into their own space as quickly as possible—minimizing wait times and creating a calm, private environment for you and your pet.

We do our best to complete exams, treatments, and diagnostics right in the exam room with you present. Occasionally, we may need to bring your pet to our treatment area for a specific procedure or test. If that happens, we’ll always explain what we’re doing and keep you informed every step of the way.

Before leaving the exam room, your doctor and nurse will go over any medications and answer all of your questions to make sure you feel confident about your pet’s care and next steps.

To ensure accuracy and continuity of care, we also use a digital program that records your pet’s visit in real time, helping us maintain detailed and up-to-date medical records while keeping our full focus on you and your pet during the appointment.

Clear Communication, No Surprises

Before any treatment is provided, all charges will be reviewed and approved by you first. We believe in transparency and strive to ensure there are no surprises at checkout—just honest, compassionate care.
