acupuncture 2Acupuncture is a non-invasive therapy offered for pets to treat a vast variety of problems. The process involves placing very small needles into pressure points that are located throughout the body. These points are typically located at the end of blood vessels and nerves. When the needles are placed in these points, it causes microtrauma which signals to the body to send helper cells to area to help with healing and/or inflammation reduction. With Traditional Chinese Medicine, we tailor each patient’s care by looking at their body as a whole. When this is utilized in conjunction with the Western Veterinary Medicine treatments that we know and love, we can provide an optimal impact on our patients desired body system.

Acupuncture 3Treatment starts with consultation followed by formulation of a treatment plan specifically tailored to meet your pet’s needs. During your consultation, we will discuss your pet’s medical history, explain in detail how each session will go, establish a frequency of treatments, and answer any questions you may have regarding your pet’s Integrative Medicine care. Following the consultation, the remaining sessions are performed, each session takes approximately 30 minutes. For maximum efficacy, we
recommend at least 4 treatments.
