Veterinarian
Dr. Griffin Dyson is a small and large animal Veterinarian who was born and raised right here in Abbeville. He is a proud alumnus of Vermilion Catholic High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Dr. Griffin earned his Veterinary degree from St. George’s University in Grenada, completing his clinical year at Louisiana State University. Dr. Griffin always envisioned himself coming back to Abbeville and caring for the animals in this great community. He has a strong love for working with dogs and horses but enjoys providing the highest standard of care to all creatures. He also enjoys creating relationships with his patients and their owners, striving to provide the highest quality of care in treating patients and educating owners. He takes pleasure in collaborating with the local parish shelter to provide care and help with placement for many strays and poorly managed dogs and cats of this community.
Dr. Griffin decided to join our practice because of the clientele he can serve and being a part of the doctors and staff at Whittington Vet Clinic who pride themselves on going above and beyond for their patients whether it be big or small. In the future, Dr. Griffin and his wife share the dream of opening a farm/sanctuary that will be open to all animals in need. Outside of Veterinary medicine, Dr. Griffin enjoys traveling around the world with his wife, Mallory Landry Dyson, playing golf, and spending time with his rescued rottweiler, Rosie.
